OREVAC® 18910

Category: Tag:

Description

Maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene based tie resin designed to develop a reliable bonding strength between PS, PE, EVOH and PA in coextruded multi-layer structures like films or sheets.

Strong bond to styrenics resins.

High melting point.

Processing

OREVAC® 18910 is to be processed like a standard polyethylene resin. Typical extrusion temperature settings could be:

Zone 1 : 190-200°C
Zone 2 : 200°C
Zone 3 : 200-210°C
Zone 4 : 210-220°C
Exit : 220-230°C
Fittings-Channels : 220-240°C
Die : 220-240°C

Final profile and settings will depend on the line and the multi-layer structure being run. It is recommended to not exceed a melt temperature above 250°C. Higher processing temperature could lead to degradation of OREVAC®.

Storage, Handling & Safety

OREVAC® 18910 should be stored in dry conditions protected from UV-light. Improper storage conditions may cause degradation and have consequences on physical properties of the product.
Safety data sheet as well as information on handling and storage of the OREVAC® 18910 is available upon request to your SK Functional Polymer representative.
