Lotader® and Orevac® tie layers for extrusion coating/lamination

Lotader® reactive terpolymers exhibit outstanding ability to bond to various substrates such as plain, metallized and printed plastic films, aluminum foil,….. They can be processed by extrusion coating or extrusion lamination and are not corrosive to metallurgy used in general extrusion equipment.

Lotader® 4210, 3210, 3410 and 3430 concentrates contain high maleic anhydride content. They can be diluted in LDPE to provide adhesion on metallized films, primed surfaces or aluminum.

Lotader® 4503 and Lotader® 4513T ready-to-use tie resins perform on unprimed plastic substrates such as reverse-printed films.

Lotader® terpolymers and Orevac® OE850 maleic anhydride grafted PE can be coextruded with EVOH, in extrusion coating/lamination on aluminum foils, metallized films and primed plastic films.

Orevac® PP tie layers for retort appications

Orevac® 18750 and Orevac® 18751 are maleic anhydride grafted PP used as tie layers between Aluminum and PP sealant layer produced by extrusion coating. These specialty grades require the use of a post-heat treatment after the extrusion coating step.

Orevac® 18750 and Orevac® 18751 can both withstand sterilization/retort process and therefore can be used for K-cup lidding technology, pharamceutical applications, seal-peel pet food lid …

Orevac® 18790 concentrate

Orevac® 18790 is a fluid maleic anhydride grated PP concentrate that must be diluted in a PP matrix to be used in extrusion coating and lamination process. This specialty grade has been designed in order to provide good bonding to polyethylene imine (PEI) primer widely used in the woven PP bag market.

This fluid grafted PP concentrate could also be used in other applications (coinjection molding, compounds, …).
