- Ready-to-use PP tie resin for EVOH and PA barrier structures
OREVAC® 18730 is a maleic anhydride-grafted polypropylene (PP-g-MAH) designed to ensure strong bonding between polypropylene substrates and barrier materials such as EVOH and polyamide (PA). This ready-to-use resin is optimized for coextrusion, offering process stability, ease of use, and consistent performance without the need for blending or compounding on site.
Thanks to its controlled melt flow index, and homo-PP base, it ensures excellent compatibility with a wide range of polypropylene grades and is adapted to demanding applications such as deep-draw thermoforming, hot filling, pasteurization, and retort processes.
- Applications
OREVAC® 18730 is recommended for use in rigid barrier structures produced by sheet calendering or blow molding, where adhesion to EVOH or PA is essential. It is particularly suited for:
- Thermoformed multilayer trays and cups
(e.g., fresh food, ready meals, coffee capsules) - Blow-molded bottles and containers
(e.g., condiments, sauces, personal care) - Eco-designed mono-material PP packaging, improving recyclability
