Description
PRIMACOR™ 3004 Copolymer is an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer which has been specifically designed by SK for use as an adhesive or sealant layer in extrusion coating and extrusion lamination.
PRIMACOR™ 3004 Copolymer exhibits:
- Excellent draw-down and edge stability.
- Adhesion to paper, paperboard, metals and polyethylenes.
- High performance sealant or tie layer.
- Excellent hot-tack and sealability.
- Excellent seal through contamination.
- Excellent product resistance.

- Flexible packaging laminates.

Processing
Extrusion Conditions:
- Melt Temperature: 288 ºC.
- Screw Size: 3.5 in. (89 mm); 30:1 L/D.
- Die Gap: 20 mil (0.508 mm).
- Die: 30 inch (762 mm) die deckled to 24 inches (609.6 mm).
- Output: 250 lb/hr (113.4 kg/hr).
- Air Gap: 6 in. (152 mm).
Equipment used to process this resin should be constructed of corrosion resistant materials. Recommended to be stainless steels and/or duplex chrome or nickel plated.

1.1. Additional hazards when processed: Dust may form flammable and explosive mixture with air. Provide adequate ventilation to minimize dust and/or vapor concentrations.
1.2. Precautions for safe handling: Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wear personal protective equipment.
1.3. Hygiene measures: Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Always wash hands after handling the product.
2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
2.1. Technical measures: Comply with applicable regulations. Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place away from heat. Store locked up. Store in tightly closed, leak-proof containers.
2.2. Storage conditions: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool.
2.3. Incompatible materials: Direct sunlight.
2.4. Storage temperature: 5 – 35 °C.
2.5. Packaging materials: Store always product in container of same material as original container.
