SK Functional Polymer (SKFP) is solutions provider for viscosity and impact modifiers of virgin and recycled HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene).
HIPS are commonly used in fridge, toys, models, appliances. Because of the poor stability of its butadiene phase, HIPS need recycling boosters to maintain good impact strength and fluidity consistent over its lifetime and recycling stages. SKFP provides plastic additives for rHIPS to recover its original performance.
Lotryl® 29MA03T ethylene – methyl acrylate copolymer with high acrylate content can be added to rHIPS at loading from 2.5 w% to 5.0w% to significantly increase the impact resistance of HIPS. Lotryl® 29MA03T was tested positively to increase rHIPS impact resistance.
Lotryl® 28BA700T ethylene – butyl acrylate copolymer can be added to rHIPS at loading up to 5.0w% to increase it fluidity.
