1) Oxygen barrier Blown film
- Multilayer blown film are currently used in miscellaneous packaging applications such as modified atmosphere packaging, shrinkable films, barrier lidding films, vacuum bags, stand-up pouches and skin packaging.
Flexible packaging may have to withstand thermal treatment as pasteurization - Orevac® the resins simplify your production process and improve end-product performances due to the improvement of blown/cast film productivity.
- Orevac® are either ready to use tie resins (18300, 18302N, 18362, 18729, 18722) or concentrates (18341, OE825).
2) Oxygen barrier Cast film
- Cast films exhibit generally better optical performances than blown films and can be produced at higher speeds.
- Cast films mainly used in packaging applications such as lidding, modified atmosphere packaging, vacuum-sealed bags, or any other application where high transparency is an added value.
- Orevac® tie layers simplify your production process & improve end-product performances due to high production speed, high optical properties and very good thermal stability.
Adhesive resins for Flexible barrier PE film
- Orevac®18300 is currently used in flexible lidding film with anti-fog properties. This performing tie resin prevents internal packaging cohesion loss related to anti-fog migration at the interface of the resin and EVOH. Orevac®18300 is also an effective tie resin to manufacture regular synthetic sausage casing based on both Nylon and polyethylene and co-extruded on triple bubble blown line.
- Orevac®18362 has excellent clarity and high adhesion to EVOH barrier films and polyamides used in clear multilayer packaging for fresh produce. This versatile grade covers a large part of film packaging applications.
- Thanks to its thermal characteristics, OREVAC® 18342N can be used in film cooking applications, in which thermal resistance is required.
- Both Orevac® 18341 and OE825 are concentrated resins intended to be blended to achieve appropriate adhesive properties. They are diluted in LLDPE with density < 0,92. Typical Orevac® blending ratios range from 10 to 20% to bond to PA barrier layer and 20 to 30% in case of EVOH layer
Adhesive resins for Flexible barrier PP film
- Packaging based on both Orevac® 18729 or 18722 are suitable for retort and pasteurization processes. Both Orevac® 18729 and 18722 comply with food processes requiring packaging thermal stability Orevac® 18729 and 18722 are phthalate free and comply with food makers requirement.
Polyester based flexible film
- Polyester_based flexible films are used to produce shrink-bags (film with high shrink ratio) or lidding film with drum effect (film with low shrink ratio).
Such films are currently produced on multi-bubble blown lines
Polyester-based lidding film can also be manufactured on single bubble blown line, or cast line. - Polyester based lidding films are sealable on APET or CPET trays and open through a so-called burst peel mechanism.
- An adhesive resin is required (compulsory) to bind Polyester layer to the rest of the lid structure or of the shrink bag structure. All Orevac® adhesive resins adhere to PA and EVOH thanks to MAH
Some of SKFP adhesive resins show very good bonding to Polyesters resins thanks to their high co- monomer content, such as alkyl acrylate or vinyl acetate. Adhesion onto Polyester resins is enhanced thanks to MAH imparting additional polarity. Resin choice depends on the processing conditions. Orevac® 18603 has been designed to bond to polyester.
