OREVAC® resins are polyolefins (PE, PP, or EVA) grafted with maleic anhydride. Their main applications are:
- Tie layer in multilayer barrier flexible and rigid packaging;
- Coupling agents in filled compounds;
- Compatibilizing agents for plastic blends, including recycled plastics;
- Impact modifiers;
- Pipe coating adhesive.
Orevac® reactive polyolefins bond to barrier resins, especially Evasin EVOH (ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers), and polyamides. Both ready to use and concentrates Orevac® tie layers are available. Orevac® tie layers are especially designed for common technologies such as blown extrusion, cast extrusion but al for multi-bubble blown extrusion or MDO process.
