SKFP boosters for recycled ABS

SKFP boosters for recycled ABS

Circular economy is one the biggest challenges of the plastic industry. SK Functional Polymer (SKFP) offers new solutions for recycling Acrylonitrile/Butadiene/Styrene (rABS) from Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Although ABS can be recycled, its engineering properties such as toughness, tensile and impact strength are not easy to maintain. SKFP solutions can help to fine-tune rABS fluidity and impact resistance of rABS compounds.

Impact resistance modifier: Lotryl® 29MA03T is the solution to significantly increase the impact strength while keeping the viscosity.

Viscosity modifiers: Lotryl® 28BA700T comes as a solution to lower the viscosity when Lotader® AX8900 is used to increase it.

Lotryl® 29MA03T and Lotryl® 28BA700T are respectively ethylene – methyl acrylate and ethylene – butyl acrylate copolymers with high acrylate content.
Lotader® AX8900 is a highly reactive ethylene – methyl acrylate – glycidyl methacrylate terpolymer.
